Ripley’s Believe It or Not 

Ripley’s Believe It or Not is a place that is full of amazing and bizarre artifacts from all over the world. Located at 307 Alamo Plaza, San Antonio, TX 78205, it is easy to spot by its giant moving shark model. Visitors can explore over 600 exhibits and artifacts. The museum is also known for its interactive games and the interesting stories that it features.

The original Ripley’s Believe It or Not television series aired on ABC from 1982 to 1986. The first season was hosted and facilitated by Ripley himself. However, Ripley suffered from a heart attack in May of that year. After his death, Doug Storer took over as host of the show. The show’s second season saw Robert St. John replace Ripley as host. The original Ripley’s museum was located in Dallas’ Varied Industries Building. The museum featured numerous relics and historical figures of the southwest. An extensive collection of firearms owned by outlaws was also on display. The museum also featured a life mask of famous movie characters and a replica of Lee Harvey Oswald’s car.

Ripley’s Museum in Dallas is one of three locations in Texas. The Grand Prairie location is located at 601 East Safari Parkway. The museum is located about seven miles from Six Flags Over Texas. The Ripley’s museum in San Antonio is located across from the Alamo, and the Williamsburg location opened in 2006. The museum has eleven galleries and 350 exhibits, including a 4D movie theater.
